Hope Beyond Standard Treatments: Ruby’s Story

Ruby, our beloved dog, was diagnosed with aggressive B-cell lymphoma. The news was devastating, and we faced it with heavy hearts. The veterinary oncologist recommended standard-of-care treatments, which initially showed some promise but ultimately failed. With limited options remaining, I began searching for alternative therapies to give Ruby the best possible chance and extend her time with us.

Through this journey, we developed what we now call the Ruby Protocol—a blend of traditional care and integrative, evidence-informed approaches that gave Ruby an additional, precious year of life filled with love and joy. Knowing this earlier might have led to an even longer outcome, and it’s our hope that sharing this knowledge will help others facing similar challenges.

We were fortunate to have a team of dedicated experts from diverse fields guiding us. Their combined expertise—including oncology, cancer research, functional medicine, holistic veterinary care, and cutting-edge peptide therapies—made the impossible possible. The Turning Point

In my search for complementary cancer therapies, I came across research and testimonials highlighting alternative approaches for pets. The Ruby Protocol was born from this exploration, combining specific off-label treatments, dietary changes, and immune-boosting supplements. Here, I’m sharing the protocol that worked for Ruby in hopes that it might inspire or help others in similar situations.

Updated Ruby Protocol (Lymphoma)

Fenbendazole (Fenben)

Administered at 444 mg per day, calculated for Ruby’s weight of 50 lbs. Given 4 days on and 3 days off for each cycle. Source: Sanare Lab.

Ivermectin

Administered at 12 mg once weekly, tailored for Ruby’s 50-lb weight. Source: IndiaMART, including products like IverSun-12, Iverguard, and IverHeal.

Artemisinin

Administered without food, 1-2 hours before or after meals to ensure efficient absorption. Recommended dosage: 3 times per week.

Dietary Support

A raw, unbleached tripe diet. Remove all processed dog food and treats.

Peptide Therapy

  • Thymosin Alpha-1 RGDR: Boosts immune modulation and T-cell function.
  • PNC-27: Induces apoptosis in cancer cells by targeting the p53-MDM2 complex.
  • 2-DG Peptide: Targets cancer metabolism by interfering with glucose uptake in cancer cells.
  • KPV: Explored for its anti-inflammatory and immune-supportive properties.

Supplementary Protocols

From there, Ruby became a true traveler, hiking the Grand Canyon, navigating the Midwest, and experiencing everything from sand dunes to snow-laden peaks.

She spent her final years in St. Augustine, Florida, the nation’s oldest city, where she swam for hours in pristine waters, explored sunlit forests, and relished every moment on the beaches, from Clearwater to the Keys. Ruby had an uncanny ability to adapt to every landscape, embracing each with boundless energy and unshakable courage.

Her personality was magnetic—she could light up any room with her presence, bringing smiles to everyone she met. Sweet and loving, with a spark of determination, Ruby made an indelible mark on countless lives. She wasn’t just a dog; she was a family member, a loyal friend, and a companion who taught us to live with joy, curiosity, and strength.
